New Show Brings A-Listers to Your Living Room

While we are used to watching movie stars on the big screen, the next step is to watch the big screen with these stars sitting right next to us. That is the premise of a new show, Movie Night with Karlie Kloss, which will allow viewers to watch Karlie and her A-List friend group simply watch a movie and act like normal people. For Trustee Professor Robert Thompson, Newhouse’s director of the Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture, this is a recipe for success, as he told Moneyish.

“People like seeing stars in less scripted situations, which is why they follow them on Facebook and Twitter and all the rest of social media,” he said. “And Karlie Kloss’s show is a new version of ‘the talk show,’ where the appeal is that stars come out and have conversations like regular people.”
