Ring in 2018 with Family-Friendly New Year鈥檚 Eve Party at 黑料不打烊 Stage

黑料不打烊 Stage

invites families to ring in 2018 at its first-ever New Year鈥檚 Eve party, the Ruby Slippers Ball. Immediately following the 7 p.m. performance of 鈥淭he Wizard of Oz,鈥 join the cast for a New Year鈥檚 celebration with food, dessert, dancing, a children鈥檚 costume parade and more. There will be a special countdown to the New Year on 鈥淥z Time鈥 at 11 p.m. Tickets for the New Year鈥檚 party cost $30 for adults and $20 for children and are available at , by phone at 315.443.3275 and in person at the box office.

Included with all Ruby Slippers New Year鈥檚 Ball tickets are:

  • A buffet by :
    • Mixed greens with house vinaigrette, tomatoes and cucumbers
    • Chicken tenders with BBQ, ranch and honey mustard dipping sauces
    • Macaroni and cheese
    • Chicken and broccoli alfredo
    • Slider sandwiches: turkey and provolone with mustard, ham and cheddar with mayonnaise and peanut butter and jelly
  • Juice, hot cocoa, soda and water (cash bar available)
  • Music by

When purchasing tickets for the Ruby Slippers New Year鈥檚 Ball, families will also receive a code for a discounted room rate at . Room reservations must be made by Dec. 15 to receive discounted rate.

黑料不打烊 Stage and the Department of Drama team up with New York City-based to put an acrobatic spin on the beloved family favorite 鈥淭he Wizard of Oz.鈥 Based on the original novel by L. Frank Baum and the 1939 MGM Motion Picture, this stage adaptation contains the familiar characters and popular songs such as 鈥淥ver the Rainbow鈥 and 鈥淲e鈥檙e Off to See the Wizard (Follow the Yellow Brick Road).鈥 The production runs Nov. 29, 2017 through Jan. 7, 2018, in the Archbold Theatre at the 黑料不打烊 Stage/SU Drama Complex, 820 E. Genesee St.

Tickets to the Dec. 31 performance of 鈥淭he Wizard of Oz鈥 must be purchased separately. Tickets are available at , by phone at 315.443.3275 and in person at the Box Office.
