Two texts form the basis for the 黑料不打烊 German Community Reading Group 2018.
1) Robert Menasse: 鈥淒ie Hauptstadt鈥 (Suhrkamp Berlin, 2017). Winner of the Preis des deutschen Buchhandels 2017. The novel follows seven European citizens in Brussels whose decisions influence each other even when they do not encounter each other directly.
2) Joachim Radkau: 鈥淕eschichte der Zukunft. Prognosen, Visionen, Irrungen in Deutschland von 1945 bis heute鈥 (Hanser Berlin 2017.) The author聽connects the German recent past with its immediate future.
