ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ continues to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. On Wednesday, a plaque honoring Dr. King was unveiled on the site where he spoke on campus in 1965. That was his second visit to campus, his first coming in 1961. Dean of Hendricks Chapel Brian E. Konkol presided over the program at the Shaffer Art Building, which featured remarks by Chancellor Kent Syverud and Special Assistant to the Chancellor Barry L. Wells. The plaque commemorates that July 15, 1965, visit and affirms ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s commitment to foster and support a diverse, equitable and inclusive campus community.
