Chef Kiernan Offers Advice on Food Safety

, an Associate Teaching Professor who teachesFood Safety and Quality Assurance in Falk College, offers this advice for families who are concerned about the impact of the partial government shutdown on food safety:

  • The more “local” you can buy, the better. If you are concerned about the safety of the food you purchase in the wake of the government shutdown, consider shopping at your local farmers market or joining a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) system.
