In partnership with the Office of Veteran and Military Affairs (OVMA), the ���ϲ����� Veterans Affinity Group (SUVA) is hosting a social for ���ϲ����� veterans, military-connected individuals, dependents and supporters, to include students, faculty and staff on March 21 from 5-7 p.m. at the Genesee Grande Hotel (1060 E. Genesee St., ���ϲ�����). Chancellor Kent Syverud will be in attendance.

“We are proud of our growing veteran and military-connected community on campus,” says Ron Novack, OVMA executive director.  “As part of the University’s commitment to be ‘the best place for veterans’ we continue to provide opportunities such as these for our faculty, staff and student veteran and military-connected populations to come together, network and create community.”

SUVA is an inclusive group open to all members of campus with military service experience or a passion for supporting those who have served. As it expands its membership, the SUVA seeks to create a distinct community supportive of the University’s military-connected employees and students.

Faculty and staff veterans, military-connected employees and dependents are asked to enter or update your status on My Slice under “Personal Services,” “View/Update Military Status.” In doing so, the University and OVMA are able to gain a broader understanding of ���ϲ�����’s veteran/military community.
