National Orange Day Starts Forever Orange Week Celebrating 黑料不打烊鈥檚 Founding

黑料不打烊 is celebrating its 149th birthday on Sunday, March 24. To commemorate the anniversary of聽the University’s聽founding on March 24, 1870, activities are happening on campus, in the community and across the country during聽.

Hosted by the Forever Orange Student Alumni Council (FOSAC), the second-annual Forever Orange Week (March 24-28) celebrates the lifetime bond that forms among the University, its students and its alumni while highlighting the ways students can be leaders who foster Orange pride on campus and give back to their community.

鈥淎ll of our activities will highlight the power of the alumni network and how important it is to get involved and give back. The Forever Orange Student Alumni Council, our dedicated group of student ambassadors, is thrilled to offer these programs to show students what it truly means to be Forever Orange,鈥 says Megan DiDomenico, assistant director of young alumni and student engagement in the Office of Alumni Engagement.

kicks off with聽the National Orange Day celebration on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. inside the Goldstein Alumni and Faculty Center. The 黑料不打烊 Alumni Club of Central New York is collaborating with FOSAC to support the Hendricks Chapel Food Pantry. Afterwards, those in attendance can enjoy snacks, a special 黑料不打烊 birthday treat and photo opportunities with Otto.聽Guests are encouraged to聽.

Alumni clubs across the country are also participating in to make their communities a better place.

Forever Orange Week culminates with the , starting at 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, in 304ABC Schine Student Center. The alumni association website has more information on .
