ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ

The City of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ is overseeing street improvements along Comstock, Waverly and South Crouse avenues that will improve access to campus. A contractor hired by the city will make repairs to sidewalks and accessible ramps and create new bike lanes. The work is scheduled to begin Monday, April 8, and continue through Wednesday, July 31.

Crews will begin at the intersection of Comstock and Euclid avenues and continue down Comstock Avenue to Waverly Avenue and then to South Crouse Avenue, ending at East Genesee Street. The project will include excavating and repairing existing asphalt that is in poor condition and replacing areas of sidewalk and accessible ramps that are in need of repair throughout the project area.

At the completion of the repair work, the contractor will mill, repave and restripe these streets to include a designated bike lane on both sides of the streets.

The city is aware of University events on campus. The city and its contractor have committed to provide ample pedestrian and vehicular traffic control (signs and flag persons) to ensure the safety of students, faculty, staff and visitors to campus. The city and its contractor have agreed to avoid construction near Walnut Park just prior and during Mayfest, and will limit construction during Commencement week.

During the work, on-street parking along these streets will be impacted. Construction activity will vary daily, and the impacts to on-street parking will vary accordingly. Pedestrians should observe and follow construction signs and flag persons directing traffic.
