The University has launched a new online events calendar that is easily accessible and user friendly, bringing together a vast array of events that are open to all members of the campus community. The website, , features a chronological listing of events and a spotlight section, with contributions from schools and colleges and administrative units and programs across campus.

Last fall, Chancellor Kent Syverud charged a team of administrators, staff and students to identify and implement a better calendar events system that was both comprehensive and easy to navigate. “The University community hosts a wonderful variety of academic, artistic, cultural and athletic events,” says Senior Vice President for Academic Operations Steven Bennett. “Now, students, faculty, staff and others can find all these opportunities to participate in one place.”

“The calendar is both searchable and intuitive,” says Lisa Andreotta, senior associate vice president of operations in the Division of Marketing and Communications. “The work achieved thus far is the result of the efforts of an interdisciplinary team of experts from across our campus—collaboration at its finest.”

The calendar was developed by web architects and developers in the Division of Marketing and Communications. As the calendar becomes more populated, teams will continue to monitor its use and receive feedback for future improvements. In the fall, teams will review the feedback to refine and initiate features that enhance functionality.
