The Foundations seminar series seeks to engage students and create a space to learn and discuss topics that are supplemental to development and life beyond campus. Marking the start of Foundations’ third year, the first seminar will be hosted Monday, Sept. 9, at 5:30 p.m. in the Heroy Geology Laboratory Auditorium and will continue for six consecutive Mondays.
Tracy Tillapaugh, a graduate career development specialist in the Graduate School, helps oversee the seminars. 鈥淪tudents can expect to learn about life topics that help them grow beyond the classroom in our sessions. We strive to make it interactive and informative while still being fun. New this year, we鈥檙e excited to provide scholarship opportunities to master’s students,鈥� says Tillapaugh.
In celebration of this year鈥檚 theme, 鈥淏ecoming: Your Personal Journey,鈥� campus and 黑料不打烊 community members will host interactive seminars surrounding leadership, personal wellness, relationships, community and other topics. Foundations events are open to undergraduate and master’s degree students. Advance registration is not required.
Each seminar is hosted from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Heroy Geology Laboratory Auditorium. Topics for each session are as follows:
Undergraduate and master’s students who attend all six hour-long sessions and submit an essay, video/vlog or digital portfolio will be entered to win a $1,000 scholarship.
