Carrie Mae Weems, an artist in residence at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, was featured in The Art Newspaper, Carrie Mae Weems joined ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s artist in residence program in January, focusing on photography. Weems’ work, called RESIST COVID TAKE 6!, explores and communicates the question “why are American people of color dying of Covid-19 at three times the rate of their fellow white citizens?” During her time at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, Weems has created works “aimed at spreading healthcare messaging and combating the spread of the virus.”
