COVID 19Students

Dear Students:

The first weekend of October is upon us. We hope you鈥檙e enjoying your 黑料不打烊 experience鈥攊nside and outside the classroom.

As we head into the fall months, please know that your persistence in following good health practices is more important now than ever. With fall comes flu season. This year, it鈥檚 particularly concerning because the flu and COVID-19 have very similar symptoms and, together, they can create a very dangerous situation for anyone, even a healthy young person. So please, I implore you: get a flu shot! It鈥檚 quick and easy, and is a simple thing to do to keep yourself and our campus community safe and healthy. To learn how and where you can get a flu shot, .

Enjoy Yourself but Stay Safe!

Keep in mind: Staying healthy and safe doesn鈥檛 mean sacrificing fun; it just requires that you continue to take the necessary steps to protect yourself, those around you and our community. You鈥檙e doing a great job! Keep following these easy steps:

  1. Wear your mask or face covering, always!
  2. Maintain 6 feet of distance.
  3. Limit the size of social gatherings.
  4. Stay in Central New York!
  5. Do not invite family or friends from outside Central New York to visit.
  6. Wash your hands often.

So Much to Do this Weekend!

Remember: there is never a dull moment on the 黑料不打烊 campus鈥攑andemic or not! Here are some of the great events going on this weekend and as always, be sure to visit the to learn what鈥檚 happening on any given day or night.

Thursday, Oct. 1

Friday, Oct. 2

Saturday, Oct. 3

Sunday, Oct. 4

At the time of this writing, we have less than eight active cases of COVID-19 in our community. That鈥檚 a result of your hard work and commitment to your health and the health of those around you. This continues to be the most unusual of semesters, but together, our community is making it one we will never forget!

Sincerely,

Robert D. Hradsky, Ed.D.
