Dear Students and Families:

With just over 40 days until the last day of the semester, it’s really starting to feel like spring on the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ campus. Warmer and dryer weather brings more opportunity to get outside, enjoy the fresh air and participate in outdoor activities that are safer than being indoors. As I always do, I am writing today to recommend some ways you can enjoy safe and healthy activities this weekend.

Before I do, I want to share a couple of important reminders:

Register for On-Campus Vaccination Appointments

As announced this week, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ is in the process of administering hundreds of doses of COVID-19 vaccines. For students who have yet to register or haven’t received a vaccine at an off-campus vaccination clinic, please make your appointment now through the . Please don’t delay—make your appointment today!

Submit Proof of Vaccination

For those students who have already received or will receive the COVID-19 vaccine at an off-campus site, we ask that you please submit your documentation through theÌý. Students who receive the vaccination on campus are not required to submit documentation.

Cautious Optimism, Remain Vigilant

Like all of you, I am feeling a tremendous sense of optimism about the future. Between the warm weather returning to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ and the significant increase in vaccinations, there is a lot for which to be grateful. But I cannot stress enough the importance of remaining vigilant. We continue to experience a high number of confirmed COVID-19 cases among our students. We need you to remain committed—to the health, safety and well-being of yourselves and those around you. I urge you to remain vigilant and participate in events that adhere to public health directives. The best way to protect yourself and our community is to avoid attending large gatherings, keep your distance, wear your masks and stay in Central New York. We’ve come this far—please keep up the good work!Ìý
