“,” a special report produced by students in ϲ’s as part of its annual Student Voice project, received several awards in the Center for Innovation in College Media’s College Media Online Journalism Contest 2.0.
Awards went to the full project as well as some of its segments.
“Tough Choices, Tough Times” took first place in the Best Interactive Package category and received an honorable mention in the Design/Best Overall Design category.
Students A.J. Chavar, Lindsay Kenton, Greg LaSpina and Andy McCullough took first place in the Best Interactive Graphic category for “History of the Economy.”
Student Wasim Ahmad took first place in the Video Package category for “A Goldrush Town No More.”
Student Sarah Stapp took second place in the Audio Slideshow category for “No Money Nowhere.”
Every spring, the Student Voice project brings more than 50 students and professors together to collaborate on a special report about a single topic. This year’s report explored how the economy is affecting 18- 25-year-olds.
The Center for Innovation in College Media is a nonprofit think-tank that was created to help college student media adapt and flourish in the new media environment.
