鈥淐ould Oscar slap put a dent in Will Smith鈥檚 bankability?鈥�

, assistant professor of television, radio, and film in the Newhouse School, was interviewed for the NewsNation segment 鈥溾€� Hamilton, an expert on the monetization of content in the TV and film industry, believes that Will Smith’s now famous slap of Chris Rock during the Oscars will have implications on the profitability of his next acting endeavor.

“It鈥檚 not like if he鈥檚 not cast in the next big movie, we鈥檙e gonna see him downward spiral into bankruptcy 鈥� no,” Hamilton said. However, the biggest impact will fall on Smith’s prestige and reputation.
