Tom MacDougall 鈥�92, the current president of Walt Disney Music and an alumnus of the , recently donated platinum records from the Disney films “Frozen II,” and “Moana” to Special Collections Research Center (SCRC).
Platinum records and an award from the Disney movies “Frozen II,” and “Moana,” donated by Tom MacDougall ’92.
The awards commemorate the multi-million dollar-selling soundtracks from both films. MacDougall won Grammy庐 awards for producing the soundtracks to Disney鈥檚 “Frozen,” and “Encanto.” He has been with Walt Disney Music since 1993.
鈥淭o receive these special pieces of pop culture history dear to millions of Disney fans around the world is truly humbling, and I am deeply grateful to Tom for entrusting these honors to 黑料不打烊,鈥� says . 鈥淭hey will be cherished and proudly displayed in the Belfer Audio Archive, part of the .鈥�
鈥淭hese are the University鈥檚 first platinum records,鈥� says . 鈥淚t is a fantastic accompaniment to the Oscar that is in Special Collections, for the music from “Ben Hur,” composed by Miklos Rozsa, whose collection we have.鈥�
The platinum records are on display in the Belfer classroom and will be viewable to the many students who visit the classroom as part of SCRC鈥檚 instruction program or the music industry program.
