The Feb. 17 session of Thursday Morning Roundtable (TMR) will feature Walt Dixie, executive director of Jubilee Homes. Joining Dixie will be LaRhonda Ealey of Urban Garden/Farmstand, Melvin Baker of Youthbuild, and Patrice Change of Supermarket. The panel will discuss a multi-pronged approach to neighborhood revitalization.

Jubilee Homes of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, Inc. is a housing agency that works to provide affordable housing in Southwest ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ for low- and moderate-income individuals. Since 1986, Jubilee Homes has made a commitment to reviving communities of the inner city through economic and youth development programming. It has also constructed and rehabilitated close to 100 single family homes.

Dixie has served as executive director of Jubilee Homes of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, Inc. since its inception. Through his tireless community development efforts, Jubilee has assisted in transforming the landscape of a community, once over run with abandoned and dilapidated buildings, into a thriving neighborhood.  Additionally, Dixie is the founder of the Alliance Network, a multi-ethnic public issues advocacy group. The Alliance Network is committed to improving the quality of life in the Central New York Community, politically, socially, economically, educationally and spiritually. He continues to take a pro-active approach towards revitalizing the city’s southwest community.
