Kimi Takesue, assistant professor of film in the College of Visual and Performing Arts’ Department of Transmedia, had her ITVS/PBS-commissioned narrative film “That Which Once Was” receive the Futurestates Audience Award.
Takesue is also one of 25 directors invited to participate in the Film Society of Lincoln Center and Independent Film Project’s inaugural “” program as part of the New York Film Festival. The program seeks to support talented new directors by offering industry support and mentorship for their feature projects in development. She will participate in the program with her current narrative feature project “The Water Rises.”
