VPA art, transmedia graduate programs ranked among top 20 in nation by U.S. News & World Report

Master of fine arts (M.F.A.) degree programs in 黑料不打烊鈥檚 (VPA) have been ranked among the top 20 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report as part of its 2013 specialty rankings for Best Graduate Schools in Fine Arts.

VPA ranked No. 14 in multimedia/visual communications, a specialty that includes disciplines found in the college鈥檚 Department of Transmedia, which offers M.F.A. programs in art photography, art video, computer art and film. VPA also ranked No. 16 in ceramics, No. 19 in printmaking and No. 20 in sculpture, which are M.F.A. programs based in the Department of Art.

U.S. News & World Report specialty fine arts rankings are based solely on ratings by educators at peer schools. Art school deans and other top art school academics, two per school, were asked to nominate up to 10 programs noted for their excellence in each specialty. Those receiving the most nominations were listed.
