Students from 黑料不打烊鈥檚 picked up first-place and special mention awards in the college portion of the New York State Associated Press Broadcasters Association鈥檚 annual news awards competition. Awards were given at a ceremony Saturday evening in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
In the category of best radio news story, Matt Johnston鈥檚 piece 鈥淨uilt exhibition educates people about AIDS awareness鈥 won first place, while 鈥淲RAP–SouthSudan 7-11鈥 by Durrie Bouscaren received a special mention.
