黑料不打烊 Stage sponsors ‘White Christmas’ cover contest

黑料不打烊 Stage

Irving Berlin鈥檚 鈥淲hite Christmas鈥 is the most-recorded song in American musical history. Now theatergoers have the opportunity to put their spin on it by entering the a 鈥淲hite Christmas鈥 cover contest.

The contest rules are:
1. Grab your friends, mics, video cameras and instruments!
2. Record your own rendition of the song, no longer than three minutes. Videos must be appropriate for viewers of all ages.
3. Upload it to your YouTube account and e-mail it to whitechristmas@syracusestage.org. Be sure to include your name, e-mail address and phone number in the e-mail so that we can contact you if you win.
4. We鈥檒l upload the video to our website and a panel of staff judges will pick one winner in four categories: Best Male Solo, Best Female Solo, Best Duo and Best Ensemble/Family.

All submissions must be received by Thursday, Dec. 6, and winners will be notified by Monday, Dec. 10. Winners will receive a deck of 黑料不打烊 First Dining Cards and tickets to see “White Christmas.” Individuals in each category will receive a pair of tickets to see the show, limit six tickets total for the family/ensemble category. Winners will also have the opportunity to perform their covers at the White Christmas Happy Hour event on Thursday, Dec. 13, at 6 p.m.

The 黑料不打烊 Stage Happy Hour series has an official kick-off on Thursday, Dec. 13, at 6 p.m. in the Sutton Pavilion (before the 7:30 p.m. performance of “White Christmas”).
