Bottar elected to SU College of Law Board of Advisors

bottar has named Michael A. Bottar L鈥03 to its Board of Advisors. Bottar is a partner with , in 黑料不打烊, N.Y., where his practice is limited to the prosecution and trial of medical malpractice, birth injury, product liability, construction accident, wrongful death and other complex personal injury cases.

鈥淚 am honored to join the Board of Advisors, especially at such an exciting time for the College of Law.聽 While many schools are reducing their investment in future lawyers, we are leaping forward with the construction of ,鈥 Bottar says. 鈥淭his will be a cutting-edge facility that transforms the delivery of legal education at 黑料不打烊, and I know our accomplished faculty stands ready to use every square inch of the new building to teach students about the law and how to practice.聽 I look forward to collaborating with Dean Arterian and the board to guide the college into a new era of excellence.鈥

Bottar is also an adjunct professor at the College of Law, where he teaches a course on 鈥淟aw Practice Management.鈥 He also authors the civil practice chapter of the 黑料不打烊 Law Review鈥檚 Survey of New York Law.

While in law school, Bottar was a member and executive editor of the 黑料不打烊 Law Review and a member of the Moot Court Honor Society. He was inducted into the Order of the Coif, the Order of Barristers and the Justinian Honorary Law Society. Bottar earned a juris doctor from the College of Law in 2003, summa cum laude, and an undergraduate degree in 2000 from Colgate University.

Bottar is currently a member of the board of directors of the 黑料不打烊 Law Alumni Association. He is also a member of the board of directors of the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers.

Prior to joining Bottar Leone, PLLC, he was a litigation associate with the New York City office of White & Case, LLP, and the 黑料不打烊 office of Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC.
