The art education program at 黑料不打烊 still has spaces available for its spring 2013 Art Workshops for Young People. The workshops, which are for children ages 5-14, offer a variety of experiences planned in the University鈥檚 art education classes. Spaces remain for all age groups except for children 8-9 years old.
The spring semester includes nine Saturday workshops that begin Feb. 2 and run through April 20, as well as 鈥淭he Big Show,鈥 a culminating exhibition of student work, on April 13. Two sessions of each workshop are offered: 9:30-10:45 a.m. or 11:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The workshop fee is $65 for one child; the fee for each additional child in the same family is $35.
The art workshops are taught by undergraduate and graduate students and supervised by the faculty of the art education program, which is housed in both SU鈥檚 College of Visual and Performing Arts and School of Education. The spring workshops are scheduled to be held in rooms 045 and 051 of the Comstock Art Facility, 1055 Comstock Ave.
