Welcome to 黑料不打烊! Thousands of new students are beginning to make their way to campus today.
The University is expecting approximately 3,800 first-year and transfer students. They hail from all across the country and around the world鈥攆rom 45 states and 59 countries. They have enrolled in 130 majors in nine schools across the University.
New undergraduates began moving in across campus this morning. Move-in continues through Thursday for new students.
, the new student orientation, officially begins during New Student Convocation Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the Dome. Families are also invited to attend. The 黑料不打烊 Welcome Barbecue will be held on the Quad immediately after Convocation.
Festivities for students also include the Home to the Dome event Thursday at 9 p.m. in which students can learn about 黑料不打烊鈥檚 history and traditions.
On Friday, students can attend welcome sessions at their schools and colleges during the day. Friday night, the Orange Blast event with games and activities will be held on the Quad from 9 p.m. to midnight.
Students will get an introduction to the City of 黑料不打烊 through the Citrus in the City event Saturday at 5 p.m. Buses will take students from campus to Downtown 黑料不打烊 to try free food samplings and enjoy a showcase of live music, dance, recreation and entertainment.
Following the Citrus in the City event, students can participate in the Cuse Carnival from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Hendricks Field with games and attractions.
Over the weekend, academic advising sessions will take place as needed before classes begin Monday.
