Request for Proposals: Research in Sustainable Building and Infrastructure

The (SEP), in conjunction with the (USGBC) has issued a request for proposals for new research focused on sustainable building and infrastructure as it relates to organizations.

“Green building and infrastructure is now becoming mainstream in many parts of the world. More than half of all new commercial building construction uses ‘green’ construction techniques and building practices in the United States,” says , assistant professor of entrepreneurship and sustainability. “Not only do green buildings and infrastructure promote energy conservation and innovation, but they also directly affect the cost and profitability of organizations.”

All RFPs must include at least two principal investigators from the the University and/or SUNY-ESF campuses, one of whom must be from the . Desired outcomes of this RFP are two-fold: publication in academic journals and white papers for the USGBC.

One proposal will be selected. Proposals will be accepted starting Oct. 20 and must be submitted by Fri., Oct. 30, at 5 p.m. Projects will last approximately one year, with total funding of $30,000.
