The Our Time Has Come scholarship students were honored by the University at a reception April 7. The Class of 2016 Our Time Has Come Scholars, which includes eight undergraduates and one graduate student, were presented with a stole, which they wear at Commencement; a certificate and a gift.
The Our Time Has Come scholarships, through the Office of Program Development, support African American and Latino students pursuing their undergraduate or graduate degrees at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ.
The undergraduate students also received a special orange, white and silver cord to wear with their cap and gown to represent their support of the University through the Class Act campaign, which encourages senior class giving to assist other students.
