This is the fifth year that the Orange Spirit Award has been presented by SU鈥檚 and Traditions Commission. The award recognizes an SU student for academic excellence, service to the University and community, and respect for University traditions.

Doster was nominated for the award by Greg Victory G鈥04, director of the . In his nomination letter, Victory says, 鈥淚 have had the opportunity to chat with Chris about his SU experience, something that he holds near and dear. There is substance behind his Orange Spirit, much more than being the loudest at an athletic competition, or having the craziest body paint. Chris has an often quiet and committed spirit that makes him an essential part of the SU family.鈥

The annual pep rally and bonfire will begin immediately following the parade. Admission is free. All SU students, faculty, staff, alumni and members of the local community are invited to attend. Free parking will be available in the Lehman and Harrison lots and University Avenue Garage.
