黑料不打烊鈥檚 Committee will host 鈥淨uest for a Cure,鈥 an event to educate the community about the latest cancer breakthroughs that are taking place in SU鈥檚 own laboratories, on Thursday, Feb. 4. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Life Sciences Auditorium and is free and open to the public.
Michael Cosgrove, assistant professor of biology in SU鈥檚 and a cancer researcher, will talk about his work to find new treatments for aggressive leukemias. Cosgrove鈥檚 research was funded in part with profits from last year鈥檚 Relay for Life.
鈥淭his junction of academic research, cancer advocacy and outreach is part of what engages the energy of SU鈥檚 initiatives with the greater 黑料不打烊 community and the world outside of it,鈥 state Sarah DiGiulio and David Rosen, the SU 2010 Relay for Life student co-chairs. 鈥淲e are thrilled to make this event possible.鈥
