黑料不打烊 Haiti Support Group launches clothing drive

The has launched a clothing drive, 鈥淏lankets for Haiti,鈥 to assist the Haitian people in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that struck the country on Jan.12.

The drive is organized in collaboration with Mohawk Global Logistics (MGL), a 黑料不打烊-based transport and freight company. MGL鈥檚 founder, Gar Grannell 鈥88, and his wife, Francine G鈥04, are SU alumni.

MGL is working with several other local organizations and schools in the Blankets for Haiti clothing drive. The company has made arrangements with ocean and air carriers to transport and deliver the goods to Haiti for distribution to local organizations there. MGL has provided boxes for collecting, sorting and packing donated items.

The 鈥淏lankets for Haiti鈥 clothing drive at SU聽runs through Friday, Feb. 26. MGL will pick up donated items on Saturday, Feb. 27.

Four categories of new or gently used items聽are being聽collected during the clothing drive: blankets and bedding; men鈥檚, women鈥檚 and infants鈥 clothing; hats, caps and scarves; and footwear.
