The ϲ Alumni Speaker Series continues with motivational speaker, life coach and author Gabrielle Bernstein ’00 discussing her career journey and recently published best-selling book “Add More ~Ing To Your Life—A Hip Guide to Happiness” (QNY, 2010) on Wednesday, April 7, at 7 p.m. in the Goldstein Alumni & Faculty Center. Bernstein will sign copies of her book immediately after her speech.

Bernstein launched the Women’s Entrepreneurial Network just one year out of college. She is dedicated to women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship. By developing the networking platform HerFuture.com, she has provided young women with an opportunity to connect with older women for guidance and mentoring.

“We are proud to showcase Gabrielle as a ϲ alumna,” says Kelly Lux, alumni programs coordinator in SU Career Services. “Not only does she have an interesting career story of her own, she has a way of motivating others with her dynamic presentation style. She is an inspirational force.”

Bernstein has been on the speaking circuit since 2004, with lectures at the Learning Annex, The Step Up Women’s Network, Junior Leagues and universities nationwide. She has been featured in The New York Times Sunday Styles, Marie Claire magazine, “Fox Strategy Room” and The Wall Street Journal.

In her April 7 presentation, Bernstein will discuss her own career story—from SU drama major to entrepreneur to author, life coach and sought-after motivational speaker. She will also discuss the message behind her recently published book, which focuses on connecting with one’s inner guide to find happiness. For more information on the book, visit .

Bernstein is one of several alumni participating in the Alumni Speaker Series, co-sponsored by SU’s  and . Other upcoming speakers include Bob Eimicke ’76, chief counsel for the New York Stock Exchange  (April 12) and Alana Edmunds ’08, IMLP at General Electric (April 29).

This event is open to the public. For more information, contact Kelly Lux at 443-3616 or kalux@syr.edu.
