Nielsen vice president Pete Blackshaw to visit Newhouse School April 5

Pete Blackshaw, executive vice president of digital strategic services for Nielsen, will visit 黑料不打烊鈥檚 on Monday, April 5, as part of the school鈥檚 Eric Mower Advertising Forum. He will speak at 6:30 p.m. in the Joyce Hergenhan Auditorium in Newhouse 3. His talk is free and open to the public. Parking is available in SU pay lots.聽

Blackshaw鈥檚 professional background encompasses public policy, interactive marketing and brand management. At Nielsen, he oversees a strategy group that works with many of the world鈥檚 top brands and corporations to develop cohesive, consumer-centered digital programs and strategies.聽

A former award-winning interactive marketing leader at Procter & Gamble and founder of the consumer feedback portal PlanetFeedback.com, Blackshaw co-founded the Word-of-Mouth Marketing Association.聽聽聽

He is author of “Satisfied Customers Tell Three Friends, Angry Customers Tell 3000: Running a Business in Today鈥檚 Consumer-Driven World” (Broadway Business, 2008) and writes a bi-weekly column focusing on themes from the book for Advertising Age.聽

He has received achievement awards from Ad-Tech and the Advertising Research Foundation.聽聽

He is chairman of the board of the National Council of the Better Business Bureau and sits on the National Advertising Review Council. He also serves as an advisor on digital strategy for several nonprofit organizations, including the United Way of Greater Cincinnati, the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center and the Cincinnati Youth Collaborative.聽
