The (iSchool) invites graduating seniors and others to an Information Session on Tuesday, April 20, from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Katzer Room, Room 347 of Hinds Hall. Pizza will be served.

鈥淲e鈥檙e hosting this event to let people, especially graduating seniors, know about the career opportunities that alumni of the iSchool鈥檚 graduate programs enjoy,鈥 says Sue Corieri, director of enrollment management. 鈥淪ome students may not be ready to jump into the working world, or they might be worried about finding a job in the current economic climate. We want to present them with an opportunity to earn a very flexible and marketable graduate degree.鈥

Participants will hear from Senior Associate Dean Robert Heckman, who will give an overview of the iSchool, currently ranked No. 1 in information systems among its peers, according to U.S. News & World Report.

Professors Martha Garcia-Murillo, program director of the M.S. in Telecommunications and Network Management, and Dave Dischiave, program director of the M.S. in Information Management, will outline the key learning outcomes and academic coursework involved in the master鈥檚 degree programs, as well as the certificate of advanced study programs.

Information will also be shared about the Upstate IT Scholarship program, a select scholarship that provides 50 percent tuition support for students who intend to live in Upstate New York and work in an IT-related career.

Students from each of the programs will be on hand to share their perspectives and answer questions. And they will give tours of the facilities and discuss student life within the iSchool.

R.S.V.P.s should be made to ischool@syr.edu or (315) 443-2911. For more information, visit .
