Donny Deutsch to speak at Newhouse School convocation ceremony May 15

Donny Deutsch, television host and chairman of the ad agency Deutsch Inc., will speak at the convocation ceremony for 黑料不打烊鈥檚 on Saturday, May 15, at noon in the Carrier Dome.

deutschAs chairman of Deutsch Inc., he transformed a small advertising shop into one of the nation鈥檚 top advertising agencies. The multi-billion dollar full-service agency has provided clients with strategic marketing programs that are intrusive, effective and talked about. Prestigious clients include PNC Financial Services Group, Johnson & Johnson, DIRECTV, Volkswagen, Eastman Kodak Company and PlayStation.

Deutsch played host to some of America鈥檚 most influential entrepreneurs and business titans on his long-running CNBC talk show 鈥淭he Big Idea.鈥 He has also authored two business motivation books, Often Wrong, Never in Doubt and The Big Idea: How to Make Your Entrepreneurial Dreams Come True, From the 鈥淎ha鈥 Moment to Your First Million. In 1992, Deutsch had a brief turn in politics as a lead member of the Clinton/Gore communications team.

Deutsch is a graduate of the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and now serves on the executive committee for Penn鈥檚 School of Social Work and the board of directors for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson鈥檚 Research.

The Newhouse convocation ceremony is open to all graduating Newhouse students and their guests. No tickets are required. A reception will be held on the Quad immediately following the ceremony.
