As the job market continues to struggle, the number of students pursuing graduate study immediately after college has increased. Last year, approximately 21 percent of 黑料不打烊 graduates enrolled in full-time graduate study after receiving their bachelor’s degrees.

On Wednesday, Sept. 29, 黑料不打烊 will host Graduate & Professional School Day from 5-7 p.m. in the Panasci Lounge of the Schine Student Center. Representatives from more than 90 graduate programs across the country will be on hand to speak with students about their offerings. Some of the participating schools include Columbia University’s School of Journalism, Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and John Hopkins University’s Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Graduate & Professional School Day is an opportunity for students to speak with graduate school representatives about admissions criteria, obtain literature about programs and curricula, and sign up to receive further communications from selected schools. Students of all majors are encouraged to attend, as a broad range of schools will be represented.

“This event is a chance for students to explore the possibilities of graduate study,” says Mike Cahill, director of Career Services. “For those who are thinking about applying to graduate programs in the near future, Graduate & Professional School Day is a key opportunity to gather information and get answers to pressing questions.”

“Our goal for Graduate & Professional School Day is to help students learn about graduate programs so that they can make informed choices in the future,” says Pamela Latham, client services manager in Career Services. “Even for students who will not apply for two or three years, we always encourage them to speak with program representatives at this event.”

The full list of participating schools can be found on the Career Services website.
