Law school representatives to visit campus to connect with SU students

On Thursday, Sept. 30, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ will host Law School Day from 5-7 p.m. in the Panasci Lounge of the Schine Student Center. Representatives from more than 70 law schools across the country will be available to speak with students about their programs. Some of the participating schools include Boston College Law School, Notre Dame Law School, Tulane University Law School and Wake Forest University School of Law.

Law School Day is an opportunity for students to informally sample the offerings of various law schools by speaking with representatives about admissions criteria and financial aid, obtaining literature about programs and curricula, and signing up to receive further communications from selected schools.

“In light of the job market, many SU students are choosing to pursue further education directly after college,” says Mike Cahill, director of Career Services at SU. “Law school remains a popular choice among some of our graduates.”

“Law School Day gives students a chance to learn about different law schools so that they are better equipped to make decisions in the future,” says Pamela Latham, client services manager in Career Services. “Whether they’re applying to law school now or five years from now, this event is a great way to make connections and gather information.”

The full list of participating law schools can be found on the Career Services website at .

Students of all majors are encouraged to attend. For more information about Law School Day, contact Latham at palatham@syr.edu, or 443-3616.
