Two graduates of 黑料不打烊鈥檚 鈥 Nikki Kahn G鈥04 and Paloma Esquivel G鈥06 鈥 have been named 2011 Pulitzer Prize winners.
Kahn was part of a team of three photographers from The Washington Post who won the for their images of the devastation caused by the Haitian earthquake. A of their work appears on The Washington聽Post鈥檚 website. Kahn earned a master鈥檚 degree in photography from the Newhouse School.
Esquivel was part of a team from The Los Angeles Times led by Ruben Vives and Jeff Gottlieb whose exposing corruption in the small city of Bell, Calif. earned the paper the . Winners in that category are awarded 鈥渇or a distinguished example of meritorious public service by a newspaper or news site through the use of its journalistic resources.鈥 Esquivel earned a master鈥檚 degree in magazine, newspaper and online journalism from the Newhouse School.
