SyrFilmFest second annual scriptwriting workshop planned

The 黑料不打烊 International Film Festival (SIFF) has announced its second annual scriptwriting workshop. It will be hosted by 黑料不打烊 alumnus Rob Edwards, writer of 鈥淭reasure Planet鈥 and Academy Award-nominated 鈥淭he Princess and the Frog.鈥 Dani Menkin, writer and director of 鈥39 Pounds of Love,鈥 and Gil Kofman, screenwriter for 鈥淭he Memory Thief,鈥 will also contribute to this three-day intensive workshop.

The Scriptwriting Workshop will take place Oct. 12-14 and is open to students and adult writers, both amateur and professional. Each participant needs to come with the completed draft of an original, short script that will be the source material used during the workshop.

SIFF is adding a new and exciting component to this year鈥檚 workshops: local actors will read through the scripts of registrants. Those registered will experience their work transformed from the printed to page to actual performance.
