In partnership with the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ City School District (SCSD), Say Yes to Education will open free law clinics in seven locations throughout the SCSD beginning Monday, Oct. 24. This will be the fourth year clinics have been provided in the district through the program. The legal clinics have been coordinated by Heidi McCormick, director of Family Law & Social Policy at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ.

Legal clinics is one of many supports offered by Say Yes to Education to help increase graduation rates in the SCSD.

Local attorneys and paralegals will assist families with children currently attending a SCSD school by providing free advice, brief service and referrals relating to legal matters that may interfere with their child’s ability to succeed in school. Any parent or student in the district can attend a walk-in clinic regardless of where their child attends school. Some of the more common issues addressed are child support, child custody, guardianship, landlord disputes, public benefits and credit problems.

Clinics will be open until May 25, 2012, at the following times and locations.
