‘Queering Faith’ continues Hendricks Chapel Luncheon Discussion Series March 26

The Hendricks Chapel Luncheon Series will continue on Monday, March 26 with a conversation on “Queering Faith.”

Feminist and queer theologian Xochitl Alvizo will lead the discussion, which will begin at noon in the Noble Room, located on the lower level of Hendricks Chapel. The event is free and open to the public. A vegetarian lunch will be provided. Those planning to partake in lunch are asked to RSVP to Elizabeth Cronk at eacronk@syr.edu.

AlvizoAlvizo, founder and pastor of the progressive Pub Church in Boston, will explore the issues of feminism and faith, queering religion and the church, and how sexuality and gender impacts our spiritual lives. The discussion will include changing boundaries of religion to include people from all social and cultural contexts, and incorporating feminist theology into today’s religious organizations.
