Student film on 9/11 to be screened at Newhouse April 30

“We Were Quiet Once,” a film by Newhouse students Laura Beachy and Cory Sage, will be screened on Monday, April 30, at 5 p.m. in the Joyce Hergenhan Auditorium in Newhouse 3. A Q-and-A and reception will follow.

The film examines the effects of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on Somserset County, Pa., a once “sleepy town” that entered the national spotlight after United Airlines Flight 93 crashed there.

Beachy is director and executive producer and Sage is director of photography and executive producer. Both are seniors in the television-radio-film program in the .
