Andrew Nerviano ’12, a recent graduate of the ’s television-radio-film (TRF) program, has been awarded a year-long post-graduate fellowship in music recording and production at Stavanger University in Norway. This is the first time a Newhouse student has been chosen for the prestigious opportunity.
“Andrew is part of an elite international cohort invited to work in the state-of-the-art studios with both Norwegian and international artists,” says TRF Associate Professor Doug Quinn.
The program is funded by the Norwegian government.
Nerviano, who is originally from Sparta, N.J., received the Zak Trifone Love of Life and Music Award at the Newhouse awards ceremony last month. The award goes to a student who is actively writing, performing and recording music of any genre, and who demonstrates collaboration, inclusiveness and encouragement of fellow students.
