The entrepreneurial ecosystem at 黑料不打烊 has exploded over the past five years. Faculty from every school and college at SU have been engaged in research, teaching, commercialization and community engagement in entrepreneurship. Student entrepreneurs have secured millions of dollars in outside investments, won seed funding at SU and at state business plan competitions, and been named in media outlets such as Inc Magazine and Entrepreneur Magazine.
And now the Raymond von Dran (RvD) Student Sandbox has been ranked as the No. 3 college business incubator by BestCollegesOnline.com.
鈥淭he RvD IDEA is likely the most exceptional and realistic startup sponsorship program I鈥檝e ever come across. It pairs seed funding with mentorship, curriculum and an immediate network of other seasoned crazies (entrepreneurs) to lean on,鈥� says Andrew Farah G鈥�11.
The RvD Innovation and Disruptive Entrepreneurship Accelerator (IDEA) was created in 2009 to help Central New York college and university students start ventures. IDEA is a partnership between SU and The Tech Garden in downtown 黑料不打烊. The RvD IDEA includes courses, the IDEA Student Sandbox, the RvD IDEA Awards (seed funding competition) and access to an entrepreneur in residence.
