The Remembrance Scholars and the Pan Am 103 25th Anniversary Committee will host a screening of the documentary “Since” on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 7:30 p.m. in Room 207 of the Hall of Languages.
The documentary, by journalist Phil Furey, features the families of three Pan Am 103 ϲ student victims and the impact that the tragedy has had upon them. A question-and-answer session with Furey will follow the screening.
Furey is a television news producer and musician based in Los Angeles. “Since” is his first documentary film, which he wrote, directed and scored. The project began in 2005 as part of a short film based on the sculpture “Dark Elegy” by Montauk artist Suse Lowenstein, whose son Alexander died in the Pan Am Flight 103 bombing.
A 2002 graduate of Boston University, Furey has worked for a number of news outlets, primarily for the international news agency Reuters.
