VPA Students Exhibit Work at Leeds College of Art in England

Eight undergraduate and graduate students in the are exhibiting work in the show 鈥淐ommon Language鈥� at Leeds College of Art, one of the United Kingdom鈥檚 leading independent art schools.

The exhibition, which is on view Oct. 22-Nov. 15, was organized by Andrew Havenhand, assistant professor of painting in VPA and a Leeds College of Art alumnus.

The students showing work are from VPA鈥檚 Departments of Art and Transmedia and represent a variety of disciplines. They include Mike Fong G鈥�15 and Holly Wilson 鈥�15, sculpture; Rebecca Aloisio G鈥�14 and Paul Weiner 鈥�15, painting; Marsha Mack G鈥�15, ceramics; Alex Sheeder 鈥�14, transmedia; Eli Show G鈥�15, printmaking; and Jaroslava Prihodova G鈥�16, jewelry and metalsmithing.

The students were selected to show work in the exhibition by the faculty of their disciplines.

A reciprocal show of work at SU by students from the Leeds College of Art is planned for next year.
