The 17th Annual Maxwell School Holiday Exchange is taking place until Wednesday, Dec. 11, with all proceeds to benefits the Upstate Cancer Center, in memory of all those affected by cancer in the Maxwell community, and the Clear Path for Veterans program. The exchange is open to everyone.

The exchange is held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day in Strasser Commons on the second floor of Eggers Hall. Drawings will be held at 2 p.m. on Dec. 11. Participants do not need to be present to win.

There are two ways to participate:

1. Donate a basket or item worth at least $20. It should be wrapped or displayed nicely for viewer appeal. Provide a title and a description of the contents, and your name or the name of the group that is donating. In return, you’ll get 30 free tickets to bid on other baskets. Try to be unique—the greater the range of donations, the more fun the exchange will be. Baskets are accepted until noon on Wednesday, Dec. 11.
2. Purchase tickets to win a basket. You can get two for $1, 12 for $5, 25 for $10 or 50 for $20. Tax-deductible checks, payable to either charity, will be gladly accepted.
