ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ has published a revised version of “ to provide recommendations and best practices to assist SU faculty members, teaching assistants, online course administrators, librarians and others in making legal use of copyright-protected works for curricular purposes.
The guide was developed by K. Matthew Dames, interim dean of libraries and University librarian and director of the Copyright and Information Policy Office. The first edition was issued in September 2012. Changes reflected in this revision include an updated summary chart, expanded content on multimedia use and updated contact information.
Print copies of the guide were mailed to all faculty and related instructional staff, and additional copies are available at service points within Bird and Carnegie libraries.
The guide is also available online at . The online version serves as the official version of the guide, and will be kept up to date to reflect new modes of instruction and changes in copyright law. Any changes to the online version supersede the print version.
While the guide applies specifically to circumstances at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, other colleges and universities are using the guide as a model to educate their faculty and instructional staff.
