The Newhouse Magazine Department Speaker Series in the will bring Jet editor-in-chief Mitzi Miller to 黑料不打烊 on Thursday, March 6. She will speak at 5:30 p.m. in the I-3 Center, 432 Newhouse 3. Follow on Twitter at #MagSpeakSU.
The New York Times calls Jet magazine a 鈥渃ultural chapter鈥 in African American life. Founded in 1951, the publication has provided perspective and stories on black politics and entertainment for more than 60 years, chronicling change and even spurring it.
Miller will discuss diversity in the magazine industry, repositioning a magazine to better fit the times and staying ahead of changes in a tumultuous media landscape. A moderated conversation will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
