The ϲ Symphony Orchestra (SUSO) will present a concert featuring Gustav Holst’s “The Planets,” Op. 32, on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 8 p.m. in the Rose and Jules R. Setnor Auditorium, Crouse College. The concert is free and open to the public.

This year marks the centennial of “The Planets,” a suite for large orchestra written by Holst from 1914-1916. It consists of seven movements named after planets of the solar system: “Mars, the Bringer of War”; “Venus, the Bringer of Peace”; “Mercury, the Winged Messenger”; Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity”; “Saturn, the Bringer of Old Age”; “Uranus, the Magician”; and “Neptune, the Mystic.”
The SUSO performs under the direction of James Tapia, faculty member in the Rose, Jules R. and Stanford S. Setnor School of Music in the .
For most Setnor Auditorium events, free and accessible concert parking is available on campus in the Q-1 lot. If the lot is full or unavailable, guests will be directed to alternate lots.
