Following an extensive national search, Samantha “Sam” Veeder is joining the University as the executive director of聽 financial aid.

Veeder will oversee daily operations in the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship Programs (OFASP), where her primary duties will include the supervision of more than 35 full-time staff; the development of strategic plans to best utilize institutional, state and federal resources; and the representation of the OFASP and Office of Enrollment Management on committees and task forces. She will begin her new position on July 6.
鈥淭he management of our daily operations is a significant responsibility,鈥� say Ryan Williams, associate vice president of enrollment management and director of scholarships and student aid. 鈥淭hankfully, I鈥檓 confident that Sam is up to the task. She has more than 20 years of financial aid experience, including directorships at Nazareth, Hobart and William Smith, and Keuka colleges, and she鈥檚 also served as a financial aid consultant. This breadth of perspective will serve her well at 黑料不打烊, where she鈥檒l also help ensure adherence to federal, state and University regulations and policies, and coordinate the administration of financial aid with the Graduate School, University College and the College of Law.鈥�

Veeder holds an M.S. degree in management from Nazareth College and a B.S. degree in health services administration from Ithaca College.
