Professor of Law Keith Bybee and Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs and Professor of Law LaVonda Reed have been elected to leadership roles in the Mass Communication Law Section of the Association of American Law Schools. Bybee, the Paul E. and Hon. Joanne F. Alper ’72 Judiciary Studies Professor, was elected chair and Reed was elected chair-elect of the section. Both are long-time members of the section’s executive committee.
In his role, Bybee will lead the planning of the 2017 section program. In her role, Reed will guide and facilitate section activity throughout the year.
The Section on Mass Communication Law “promotes the communication of ideas, interests and activities among members and makes recommendations on matters of interest in the teaching and improvement of the law relating to mass communications.â€
